What to expect!


Thank you for allowing me to capture your important milestones.


So many times we go to do something and we stop a bit short because we are unsure of what to expect. Well fear not my friends, I'm going to tell you how it is....or how I am.

I'm a little sarcastic, a little funny and I love what I do. Hopefully this is a complete run down on how I serve my clients and what you can expect at any given time.

Things have changed and continue to change as my site receives updates and levels of CRM capabilities so this run down may change. At any time if you have a question and it hasn't been answered here, reach out!

First things first - Hello! How are you? Do you want to have some special pictures to hang on your walls, use for social media or have in an attractive coffee table book? LET'SGO!!

  1. Complete the Contact form as best as you can, not sure which session you want, no biggie. I'll contact you to help you decide how to proceed. You know what you want?! Yay! Go to my booking page, click on the session you want to book and follow the prompts...easy peasy!! No matter how you decide to book, you will be invoiced for a Non-Refundable Retainer with balance due BEFORE your session. Now don't be scared, I'll work with you if you need to reschedule due to illness or weather etc.
  2. During the booking process you will receive a Contract geared for your session type. I do not show up for your session unless this has been completed. Ya know insurance liability and all that legal stuff has to be done. You will also receive a Questionnaire to help me better serve you and YOUR wants. Do you want a specific location, a family treasure included, the family pet, a special prop, etc.
  3. After we get all of that out of the way, I'll email you a Style Guide and Checklist Guide to help you prepare for your Session. This is particularly helpful for the Branding and Headshot Sessions. Again, I'll send you one that is geared for your type of session. Even though I have it in all of my Guides, I cannot stress enough... Please do not get your outfit out of the Amazon packaging on session morning and put it on. It needs IRONED...with steam... to get the wrinkles out. I hate to do it, but I now charge $2 per image to remove excess wrinkles from clothing. If it looks like you got it out of a butt hole it's gonna cost ya!
  4. You will receive periodic emails with reminders to complete a task, such as ironing your outfit, getting your mani etc. I get it, time gets away from us, we get busy living life, so I try to help you help yourself so you have beautiful portraits.
  5. It's Session Day, YAY!!!! Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes early to brush hair, wipe snotty noses, double check you have everyone, did you remember that special treasure to incorporate in your session? Just all around get your jitters out, if a family session, let the kids run amuck for a few, then brush hair again. Check little faces for cheese puff or kool aid stains.(Did I just date myself??) Ladies don't forget to freshen up your lipstick/gloss. Oh you don't wear it...hmm... a little gloss helps.
  6. The session itself is now over. Whatever session you just had, I hope you had fun and can't wait to see your images. I typically do a sneak peek on Facebook through my PBJ Photo By Jean business page that day. It's a good idea to "friend" me when you book your session, You have to be my friend first or I can't tag you.
  7. Usually within 2-7 business days I will have your PROOF gallery ready for you to view. You will receive an email with the link, gallery password and instructions. These images are at low resolution and watermarked. You now can choose your favorite images, don't worry if you like more than your session permits, you can always purchase additional images, print collection or flat lay book.
  8. When you let me know that you are done choosing your images, I will invoice you for the balance due if any. You will receive your digital images within 36 hours* after balance due is paid in full. If you are staying within the parameters of your collection, I will release your digital images with 36 hours*
  9. Your images will be available to you on your gallery ready for download.. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF PETE, USE THE DOWNLOAD ARROW!!! Screen shots, or right clicking on the image results in less than optimal resolutions. This is especially true when you go to order cards or prints etc. They WILL be blurry.
  10. An email with the download pin and instructions will be sent to you when your digital gallery is complete. I will email you when your products (if you ordered prints, or books) are ready to be hand delivered.
  11. Don't forget to order prints for GrandParents!!!
  12. When ordering prints, products, through me, they are guaranteed, when ordering through Costco, Sam's, Walmart etc. they are not.
  13. As photography is an art form and is subjective, it is not guaranteed. I do try to create a fun and exceptional experience for you. Please review my portfolio before booking.
  14. After you have received your gallery, I will send you an after session questionnaire. Please take a few minutes to complete as it helps me better serve all of my clients.
  15. Eeessshhh, that's a lot of info!!! Hopefully there aren't too many grammatical errors, I'll go back and check later. The grandson wants to get in the pool:0)
